In quiet whispers of the night, I hide,
A secret held, a feeling deep inside.
My heart beats fast when you come near,
But I can’t find the courage, I live in fear.
Your smile, a beacon in my darkest hour,
Yet I’m afraid to confess, to give it power.
I watch you from afar, in silent admiration,
Hoping you’ll see my silent dedication.
I pen these words, a love unspoken,
In hopes that somehow they’ll be awoken.
Each line a confession, each verse a plea,
For you to understand what you mean to me.
But words fail me, they tremble on my tongue,
And so this poem remains, unsung.
A love that’s buried, yet burning bright,
Hidden beneath the veil of the night.
In dreams, I find the courage to speak,
But in reality, my voice grows weak.
I long to tell you how I feel,
But fear of rejection makes it all too real.
So I’ll keep this poem close to my chest,
A silent testament to my love’s unrest.
And though I may never find the nerve to confess,
Know that you’ve ignited a flame in this timid heart’s recess.
