Silent Affection Poem

Every time you walk into the room,
My heart skips a beat,
I try to play it cool,
But inside, I’m a mess of emotions.

You talk, and I listen,
Hanging on every word,
You laugh, and it’s like music,
A melody I wish I could hold.

But you have no idea,
No clue how I feel,
You see me as a friend,
But I’m caught in something real.

I watch you from afar,
Afraid to let it show,
Because what if you don’t feel the same?
What if I have to let you go?

I memorize your smile,
The way your eyes light up,
And I wonder what it would be like,
To be the one who makes you happy.

I hold onto these moments,
When it’s just us two,
And I wish I could tell you,
How much I care for you.

But fear keeps me silent,
Locked in this secret,
So I stay in the shadows,
Loving you in quiet.

Maybe one day, I’ll find the courage,
To speak what’s in my heart,
But for now, I’ll keep dreaming,
Of a love that has yet to start.

Because even if you never know,
And we stay just as we are,
I’ll always cherish these feelings,
As a precious, unspoken star.
