woman sitting on chair beside table while using phone

Across the Screen spoken word.

I see you in social media platforms,
A face I’ve never touched,
But every post, every picture,
Pulls me in, just as much.

We’ve never spoken,
Our worlds have never collided,
But through a screen, I’ve found
A love I can’t deny or hide.

I scroll through your moments,
The glimpses of your day,
And with each passing post,
My heart drifts further away.

Away from where I am,
To where you might be,
Wondering if you notice,
If you ever think of me.

You share your joys, your laughter,
The things that make you smile,
And here I am, just a shadow,
Watching all the while.

It’s strange to love someone
You’ve never truly known,
To feel so deeply connected
To a heart that’s never shown.

I imagine what it’d be like
To meet you face to face,
Would you see the love in my eyes,
Or would I feel out of place?

I dream of conversations,
Of words we’ve never said,
Of moments we could share,
If only fate had led.

But for now, I’m just a follower,
A stranger in your crowd,
Loving you from a distance,
Without saying it out loud.

Maybe one day, our paths will cross,
In the real world, not just online,
But until then, I’ll be here,
Loving you from behind the line.

Because even through a screen,
My feelings are true,
And though we’ve never met,
I feel like I already know you.

So, I’ll keep watching,
Keep dreaming of the day,
When our online love
Might find a way.
