Cost of Peace by walking shadow poetry.

Stop wasting your time,
Trying so hard to bring me down.
You might think your words and actions
Can take me apart,
But all you’re doing is costing yourself peace.

I’ve learned that there’s power in staying calm,
Even when the world around me shakes.
You see, while you’re busy building walls,
I’m focused on building strength.
And all your efforts to see me fall
Will only weigh you down in the end.

You can throw stones,
Whisper lies,
Try to push me to the ground,
But what you don’t realize is
That your peace is slipping away,
With every effort to dim my light.

I don’t need to fight you back
Because peace is too precious to lose.
So while you’re trying to make me stumble,
You’re losing what you’ll never find again
The calm of a heart that knows its worth,
The quiet confidence that no one can take.

So keep going if you must,
But know this truth:
It will cost you your peace,
And no victory is worth losing that.

I’ll keep moving forward,
Focused on what matters,
While you’re caught up in the battle you created.
At the end of the day,
The only thing you’ll have is the noise you made,
While I’ll have peace,
A peace that no one can steal.
