START ALL OVER AGAIN by walking shadow poetry Kenya

I should have walked away, but I stayed too long,
Held on to echoes of a broken song.
I spoke when silence was my friend,
But my words; oh, they didn’t mend.

I’ve stayed in places I should have left,
Clinging to memories, feeling bereft.
Restless nights, mind in a spin,
Fighting battles, I never stepped in.

Ever been there? Where nothing feels right?
Where peace is a stranger, and so is the night?
Where you find yourself in a place unknown,
Trapped in a storm that you should have outgrown?

I have. I’ve been lost, I’ve been torn,
I’ve been wearied, tattered, and worn.
Standing in shadows, drowning in doubt,
Wanting to run but locked inside out.

And sometimes, life oh, it tears us apart,
Breaks us in ways that shatter the heart.
It scatters the pieces, burns them to ash,
Makes us believe we’re nothing but trash.

But listen, breathe, hold on tight,
Morning still follows the darkest night.
And as long as there’s breath, there’s still one more day,
One more chance, one more way.

One more shot to make things right,
To turn the wrongs into something bright.
To pick up the pieces, to try again,
To build a life that doesn’t just bend.

You can write a story fresh and new,
With words of healing, with skies so blue.
You can start over, make it last,
Leave behind the pain of the past.

So get up—stand tall—look ahead,
Shake off the lies that live in your head.
It’s not over, no, not yet,
The best is coming, you just haven’t met.

And when you feel like you’re losing again,
When the world turns cold and forgets your name,
Remember this truth, let it remain:
It’s not over until it’s over, so start again.
