A Powerful Lesson on Purpose, Fear, and Success

The way you run
depends on what is behind you.

A person running for exercise
moves with rhythm.
A person running from a fire
doesn’t count steps.

They just run.

Because what is chasing you
changes everything.

A gazelle and a lion
can both be seen running across the same field.
One is chasing a meal.

The other is running for another sunrise.
The speed may look the same,
but the reasons are worlds apart.

Some people wake up before dawn,
not because they love mornings,
but because rent is waiting.

School fees are knocking.
Dreams refuse to die.

Others walk slowly,
not because they are lazy,
but because they have forgotten
that hope is still alive.

What is chasing you
determines how you run.

Have you ever watched the clouds?
The wind pushes them,
yet they never argue with the sky.

They simply keep moving,
until dry ground receives rain.

Even rivers understand this.
A river never turns back
to explain itself to the mountain.

It keeps flowing,
finding another way
until it reaches the ocean.

So why are you stopping
every time life places a rock in your path?

The eagle does not fear the storm.
It rises above it.
The bamboo bends in the wind,
yet when the storm is over,
it is still standing.

Strength is not always loud.
Sometimes strength
is simply refusing to quit.

But let me ask you…

What is chasing you?

Is it fear?
The fear of failing again?
The fear of being laughed at?
The fear that you started too late?

Or is it purpose?

Because there is a difference.

Fear makes you run
until you are exhausted.

Purpose makes you run
until you arrive.

Many people are running
without knowing why.
Busy every day,
yet going nowhere.
Like a hamster on a wheel,
moving fast,
but staying in the same place.

Movement is not always progress.

Sometimes,
you don’t need to run faster.
You need to run wiser.

The seed buried in the ground
doesn’t complain about the darkness.

It uses the pressure
to break open.
What looked like the end
becomes the beginning of a forest.

The butterfly never curses the cocoon.
It knows transformation
takes time.

The diamond never apologizes
for the pressure.
Without it,
it would remain ordinary stone.

Maybe life is not punishing you.

Maybe life is preparing you.

Because some blessings
need stronger shoulders.

Some dreams
need tougher hearts.

Some victories
need people
who refused to stop running.

So today,
don’t compare your pace
to someone else’s.

The sunflower never competes
with the mango tree.
One blooms.
The other bears fruit.
Both fulfill their purpose
in different seasons.

Run your race.

Not because people are watching.

Not because you want applause.

Run because your future
is worth meeting.

Run because your children
deserve a better story.

Run because someone
is waiting for the version of you
that refused to give up.

And if something must chase you,
let it be purpose. Let it be hope.

Let it be the desire to become everything
you were created to be.

Because when purpose is chasing you,
you don’t run in panic.

You run with direction.

And people may only see your speed,

but heaven, your family, and your future

know exactly why you refused to stop.
