{"id":2177,"date":"2024-04-30T11:07:56","date_gmt":"2024-04-30T11:07:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/walkingshadowpoetry.com\/blog\/?p=2177"},"modified":"2024-04-30T11:08:06","modified_gmt":"2024-04-30T11:08:06","slug":"hero-syndrome","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/walkingshadowpoetry.com\/blog\/hero-syndrome\/","title":{"rendered":"HERO SYNDROME."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In a world full of noise, where heroes are made,<br>Sometimes we forget, we&#8217;re just in our own shade.<br>Hero syndrome, it&#8217;s called, when we think we&#8217;re the one,<br>Who can fix every problem, until the day is done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We rush to the rescue, without a second thought,<br>Ignoring our own needs, thinking we&#8217;re all we&#8217;ve got.<br>But deep down inside, we&#8217;re just scared and unsure,<br>Trying to be perfect, our flaws we try to obscure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To deal with this syndrome, we must first understand,<br>That it&#8217;s okay to ask for help, to reach out a hand.<br>We&#8217;re not meant to carry the world on our own,<br>It&#8217;s okay to not be perfect, to not be carved from stone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Take a step back, breathe, and let yourself be,<br>You&#8217;re not less of a hero, for setting yourself free.<br>Take care of yourself, like you would a friend,<br>And the hero syndrome&#8217;s grip, you&#8217;ll eventually mend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For true heroes know, it&#8217;s not about being strong,<br>But about knowing when to admit, when they&#8217;re wrong.<br>It&#8217;s about being there, not just for others, but for you,<br>Because even heroes need saving, it&#8217;s true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So let go of the cape, the need to always save the day,<br>And embrace the hero within, in a different way.<br>By being kind to yourself, by knowing when to rest,<br>By understanding that even heroes need to be blessed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For hero syndrome can be tamed, if we learn to see,<br>That sometimes the greatest hero, is simply being free.<br>Free from the burden of perfection, free from the need to impress,<br>Just being who we are, nothing more, nothing less.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Walking shadow poetry Kenya.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In a world full of noise, where heroes are made,Sometimes we forget, we&#8217;re just in our own shade.Hero syndrome, it&#8217;s called, when we think we&#8217;re the one,Who can fix every problem, until the day is done.
