{"id":2200,"date":"2024-05-30T15:41:10","date_gmt":"2024-05-30T15:41:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/walkingshadowpoetry.com\/blog\/?p=2200"},"modified":"2024-05-30T15:41:11","modified_gmt":"2024-05-30T15:41:11","slug":"childhood-traumas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/walkingshadowpoetry.com\/blog\/childhood-traumas\/","title":{"rendered":"Childhood Traumas."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In childhood&#8217;s land, where dreams took flight,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hid whispers lost in the dead of night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With secrets kept, my lips sealed tight,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carried along in shadows&#8217; blight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A tender heart, aching to tell,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of memories that cast a haunting spell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But those words trapped in a hidden shell,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Locked away, where emotions dwell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In playgrounds bright, where laughter soared,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I harbored fears I could not afford.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each giggle echoed, each smile roared,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yet silent pain within me roared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bruises hidden, scars unseen,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Behind a mask, a somber sheen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;My lips are sealed,&#8221; became routine,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carrying a burden, silent and keen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The playground joys could not erase<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The memories I couldn&#8217;t embrace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The shadows lingered, held their place,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My lips sealed shut, an unseen face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yet time goes on, and hearts find ways,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To heal the hurt of younger days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;My lips are sealed,&#8221; no longer sways,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For in speaking out, the heart displays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now I break free from silence&#8217;s chain,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No longer held by childhood&#8217;s pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With open words, I break the strain,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And find my peace in the healing rain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The past still whispers, a distant sound,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But in speaking up, strength is found.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No more hiding on childhood&#8217;s ground,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My lips unsealed, a new life unbound.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In childhood&#8217;s land, where dreams took flight, Hid whispers lost in the dead of night.
