{"id":2303,"date":"2024-06-09T11:04:53","date_gmt":"2024-06-09T11:04:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/walkingshadowpoetry.com\/blog\/?p=2303"},"modified":"2024-06-09T11:04:55","modified_gmt":"2024-06-09T11:04:55","slug":"my-new-version-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/walkingshadowpoetry.com\/blog\/my-new-version-2\/","title":{"rendered":"MY NEW VERSION."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A dream which I had longed was never being alone,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I had no one to call my own,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Smile to me was rare than frown,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A queen bearing pain and rejection as a crown,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The laughing stalk, so was given a nickname\u201d clown.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All these happened immediately I got a smart phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was trying to be among some group so that I may fit in,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trying clothing\u2019s which were fitting and a daily facial routine,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Careful not to upload a video without consulting my fellow teen,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Avoiding being fat so I don\u2019t take food at school but only snacks from the canteen,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How I looked mattered to me and was my source of defense,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Honestly, I was more scared of committing any offence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many hidden pains causing ulcers in my belly,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Friends don&#8217;t know why I look pale suddenly,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eyes popping out of its socket,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not only for the money scarce in my pocket<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But also had zero experience concerning the love of a parent,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m a wandering soul in the forest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was scared of being without any social media platforms,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Always venturing into the latest digital transformation forms,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The trending celebrities and clothes in town whom I have developed interest,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trending anything and everything that I can copy and paste,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I could not admit that I have finally become an addict,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Who was just Buying a little more time in their closet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I needed something like my own company or brand,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To avoid following others yet my life was stagnant,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Writing down who I was, was what I did for a start,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Working on my talents and skills is what I will never regret,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My potential I decided I will ensure I maximize,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Myself and my mental health is what I did prioritize,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through my talents, skills and abilities that will make me have a busy mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leaving behind nights of terror and fear<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I rose,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this poverty, rejection and shame<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I rose,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Into a daybreak that&#8217;s wondrously clear<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I rose,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having or not having any brand name,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I rose,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I rose,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am the dream and the hope of the slave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, I had no option but to rise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I Realized the way to control this technology manipulation,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Is to kill this fear and lack of self- motivation by embracing my passion,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Managed to control my phone by managing all the application,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I did not allow myself to experience any form of dissatisfaction,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, I was able to overcome every form of addiction,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since I was greater than this gadget and much more that will be brought by digitalization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Greatness, creativity and success is my portion and source of Navigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Walking Shadow Poetry Kenya<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A dream which I had longed was never being alone, I had no one to call my own, Smile to me was rare than frown, A queen bearing pain and rejection as a crown, The laughing stalk, so was given a nickname\u201d clown.\u201d All these happened immediately I got a smart phone.
