How?<br>A tender whisper deep within my soul,<br>Am hoping That today, maybe today,<br>The mirror will reflect a lighter heart,<br>A mind no longer bound by chains of regret and guilt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yet, as the sun rises high,<br>TI can&#8217;t stop myself from blaming me of what I did,<br>Painful Memories and thoughts cling in my mind,<br>Like thorns so hard to remove from the heart,<br>Reminding me of wounds that are self-inflicted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They say forgive, let go, move on,<br>But how do you release the grip on your own soul?<br>Forgiving myself is the hardest chains to break<br>Because they are forged in the fires of self-blame,<br>How do I walk forward when my feet<br>Is stuck in the quicksand of past mistakes?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Night falls, and with it, the ache in my heart deepens,<br>The longing for peace, for a day where tears don&#8217;t soak my pillow,<br>When the weight of guilt won\u2019t feel like a mountain<br>Too steep to climb.<br>But still, each breath whispers,<br>\u201cMaybe tomorrow\u2026\u201d Just Maybe Tomorrow&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And tomorrow comes, as it always does,<br>Bringing with it a small light less tears,<br>Feeling weak at First, but growing stronger with time,<br>I believe one day I will completely forgive myself,<br>Since Forgiveness is not a single act,<br>But a journey, one step at a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I start with grace, for I am human,<br>Flawed and beautiful in my imperfection.<br>I speak kindness into my heart,<br>And let go of the stones I have carried for so long,<br>One by one, as I would a heavy load.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With each sunrise, I choose to forgive<br>Just a little more, to release and to love me more,<br>The burden that\u2019s not mine alone to bear.<br>And in time, I will find that healing<br>Is a path I choose to walk daily,<br>Not a destination I must reach in a hurry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, when the mirror reflects my face again,<br>I will see not the scars, but the strength<br>That comes from rising, each and every day,<br>To forgive, to heal, to love myself anew.<br>For in the end, am worthy of peace,<br>Of joy, of the freedom that comes<br>When I finally lay my burdens down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>walkingshadowpoetryKenya<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How will I Forgive me?
