{"id":2405,"date":"2024-08-24T14:04:43","date_gmt":"2024-08-24T14:04:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/walkingshadowpoetry.com\/blog\/?p=2405"},"modified":"2024-08-24T14:04:46","modified_gmt":"2024-08-24T14:04:46","slug":"the-mirror-of-forgiveness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/walkingshadowpoetry.com\/blog\/the-mirror-of-forgiveness\/","title":{"rendered":"The Mirror of Forgiveness"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Each morning, I rise with a fragile hope,<br>That today will be the day I finally cope.<br>I look in the mirror and search for peace,<br>But the chains of guilt refuse to release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They say forgive, and you&#8217;ll be free,<br>But they never spoke of forgiving me.<br>Of the scars I&#8217;ve buried deep inside,<br>Of the pain I feel, and the tears I&#8217;ve cried.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I walk through days with a heavy heart,<br>Wishing the healing could simply start.<br>But the road is steep, and the path unclear,<br>Each step I take is weighed down by fear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I blame myself for every fall,<br>For every mistake, both big and small.<br>I carry the burden of my own past,<br>Wondering how long this pain will last.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yet in the quiet, a whisper speaks,<br>Not from others, but the soul it seeks.<br>&#8220;Forgiveness isn\u2019t just a gift to bestow,<br>It&#8217;s a seed within that needs to grow.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So I water that seed with gentle grace,<br>And let go of the guilt I face.<br>I learn that healing is a tender art,<br>A journey of love that starts in the heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And though each morning may start the same,<br>With shadows of doubt and whispers of shame,<br>I choose to believe that I\u2019m worth the fight,<br>That self-forgiveness is a slow-burning light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One day I\u2019ll wake and feel the weight lift,<br>The burden of blame will finally shift.<br>Until then, I&#8217;ll be patient and kind,<br>For the path to peace begins in my mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, I rise again, with hope anew,<br>Knowing this journey will see me through.<br>And when I falter, I&#8217;ll hold on tight,<br>For the dawn will come after the longest night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Walking Shadow Poetry Kenya.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Each morning, I rise with a fragile hope,That today will be the day I finally cope.I look in the mirror and search for peace,But the chains of guilt refuse to release.
