Just stay away.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019d stand in front of the mirror,<br>But couldn\u2019t meet my own eyes,<br>Because what I saw staring back at me,<br>Were reflections of the lies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019d see others shining,<br>Bright like the sun,<br>While I hid in the shadows,<br>Afraid of being the one who\u2019s undone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But then, one day, I heard another voice,<br>Quiet at first, but it started to grow,<br>It came from deep within,<br>A place I didn\u2019t even know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It said, \u201cYou are more than these doubts,<br>More than these fears,<br>You are the sum of all your battles,<br>And you\u2019ve made it through the years.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So I took a step,<br>Though my legs were weak,<br>And with each breath I took,<br>I found the strength I\u2019d seek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I faced the lies,<br>Stared them down,<br>And in that moment,<br>I took back my crown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, when I speak,<br>I do it with pride,<br>Because I know my worth,<br>And I no longer hide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To anyone out there,<br>Battling the same fight,<br>Know that your story isn\u2019t over,<br>You\u2019re just stepping into the light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019re stronger than you think,<br>Braver than you know,<br>And even when you fall,<br>It\u2019s just a chance to grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So lift your head,<br>And don\u2019t be afraid to be seen,<br>Because the voice that once broke you,<br>Can also set you free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Walking shadow poetry Kenya<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I used to wake up every morning,With a weight on my chest,Feeling like the world was too big,And I was too small to exist.
