{"id":2470,"date":"2024-08-28T10:33:52","date_gmt":"2024-08-28T10:33:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/walkingshadowpoetry.com\/blog\/?p=2470"},"modified":"2024-08-28T10:33:55","modified_gmt":"2024-08-28T10:33:55","slug":"holding-on-to-hope-spoken-word-poem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/walkingshadowpoetry.com\/blog\/holding-on-to-hope-spoken-word-poem\/","title":{"rendered":"Holding On to Hope Spoken Word\/Poem"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>There\u2019s a weight on my chest,<br>Heavy as the night,<br>Every step feels like a battle,<br>Every breath a fight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pain has become a companion,<br>One that never leaves,<br>It follows me through the days,<br>And haunts me in my dreams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019ve seen the darkness,<br>Felt it wrap around my soul,<br>Whispering that this is it,<br>That I\u2019ll never be whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But deep down, beneath the hurt,<br>There\u2019s a flicker of light,<br>A small, stubborn hope<br>That refuses to give up the fight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It tells me that one day,<br>The clouds will part,<br>That the sun will shine again,<br>And warmth will fill my heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So I hold on,<br>Even when the nights are long,<br>Even when the tears fall<br>And everything feels wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because I know that pain is not forever,<br>It\u2019s a chapter, not the end,<br>And though the road is rough now,<br>It will smooth out around the bend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I cling to the belief<br>That joy is waiting for me,<br>That beyond this storm,<br>There\u2019s a calm I will see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So I keep going, step by step,<br>Even when it feels like too much,<br>Because hope is my anchor,<br>My unbreakable crutch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One day, the hurt will fade,<br>And I\u2019ll stand tall and free,<br>But until then, I\u2019ll hold on to hope,<br>Knowing better days are meant for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Walking Shadow Poetry Kenya.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There\u2019s a weight on my chest,Heavy as the night,Every step feels like a battle,Every breath a fight.
