{"id":2608,"date":"2024-09-08T15:17:42","date_gmt":"2024-09-08T15:17:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/walkingshadowpoetry.com\/blog\/?p=2608"},"modified":"2024-09-08T15:17:44","modified_gmt":"2024-09-08T15:17:44","slug":"i-thought-i-was-done-by-walking-shadow-poetry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/walkingshadowpoetry.com\/blog\/i-thought-i-was-done-by-walking-shadow-poetry\/","title":{"rendered":"I Thought I Was Done by walking shadow poetry"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>It started slow, just a voice in my mind,<br>Saying things like, &#8220;You\u2019re useless, you\u2019ll never find<br>Peace in this life, nothing feels right.&#8221;<br>At first, I ignored it, kept it out of sight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But soon it got louder, hard to ignore,<br>I started to wonder what life was for.<br>I smiled in the day, but cried in the dark,<br>Feeling like I was falling apart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I thought of leaving, just ending it all,<br>The world felt heavy, like I was too small.<br>No one would miss me, I thought to myself,<br>Maybe the world would be better without my help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But somewhere deep down, a tiny voice stayed,<br>Telling me maybe I could still be saved.<br>It was hard to believe, I felt so weak,<br>But that little voice wouldn\u2019t let me retreat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I told a friend, I broke down and cried,<br>And they didn\u2019t leave, they stayed by my side.<br>They told me, \u201cYou matter, you\u2019re not alone,\u201d<br>And slowly, I felt less like a stone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I found a therapist, someone to talk,<br>Step by step, I learned to walk.<br>They taught me to breathe, to face my fears,<br>And little by little, I dried my tears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It wasn\u2019t easy, not by a mile,<br>But for the first time, I started to smile.<br>I realized life isn\u2019t perfect or clear,<br>But it\u2019s worth living, even through fear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, when the thoughts creep back into view,<br>I know what to do, I know what\u2019s true.<br>I am more than my sadness, more than my pain,<br>I\u2019m here to stay, I\u2019m here to remain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So if you\u2019re like me, feeling lost and low,<br>Just know that it\u2019s okay to let it show.<br>Reach out for help, don\u2019t fight it alone,<br>There\u2019s light ahead, more than you\u2019ve known.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It started slow, just a voice in my mind,Saying things like, &#8220;You\u2019re useless, you\u2019ll never findPeace in this life, nothing feels right.&#8221;At first, I ignored it, kept it out of sight.
