{"id":2620,"date":"2024-09-08T15:27:49","date_gmt":"2024-09-08T15:27:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/walkingshadowpoetry.com\/blog\/?p=2620"},"modified":"2024-09-08T15:27:51","modified_gmt":"2024-09-08T15:27:51","slug":"broken-trust-by-walking-shadow-poetry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/walkingshadowpoetry.com\/blog\/broken-trust-by-walking-shadow-poetry\/","title":{"rendered":"Broken Trust by walking shadow poetry."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I never thought it would come from you,<br>The one I trusted to see me through.<br>I shared my secrets, my hopes, my fears,<br>But now those memories bring only tears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You were the closest, the one I believed,<br>But in the end, it was you who deceived.<br>I thought we were stronger, thought we were real,<br>But now I\u2019m left with wounds that won\u2019t heal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You smiled at me while hiding the knife,<br>And with one swift move, you shattered my life.<br>The betrayal cut deeper than I can explain,<br>Leaving me drowning in sorrow and pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I ask myself how I missed the signs,<br>How I let you cross so many lines.<br>I gave you my heart, I trusted your word,<br>But your actions spoke louder than anything I heard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, I question everyone I meet,<br>Afraid that the pattern will repeat.<br>I\u2019m guarded, closed off, and unsure who to trust,<br>Because the hurt you left turned my heart to dust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I replay the moments, trying to see,<br>Where I went wrong, or why it was me.<br>But maybe it wasn\u2019t something I did,<br>Maybe it\u2019s just the truth you hid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Still, it\u2019s hard to move past the sting,<br>When betrayal takes away everything.<br>But even though I\u2019m broken right now,<br>I know I\u2019ll heal, someday, somehow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019ll rebuild myself, piece by piece,<br>And slowly, the pain will start to cease.<br>I\u2019ll learn to trust again, with time,<br>But for now, I\u2019m just healing from the climb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Betrayal hurts, it tears you apart,<br>But it won\u2019t forever control my heart.<br>One day, I\u2019ll rise, stronger and free,<br>And your betrayal will be a memory.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I never thought it would come from you,The one I trusted to see me through.I shared my secrets, my hopes, my fears,But now those memories bring only tears.
