{"id":2726,"date":"2024-09-26T14:55:36","date_gmt":"2024-09-26T14:55:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/walkingshadowpoetry.com\/blog\/?p=2726"},"modified":"2024-09-26T14:55:38","modified_gmt":"2024-09-26T14:55:38","slug":"ending-rape-its-time-to-speak-up-by-walking-shadow-poetry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/walkingshadowpoetry.com\/blog\/ending-rape-its-time-to-speak-up-by-walking-shadow-poetry\/","title":{"rendered":"Ending Rape: It&#8217;s Time to Speak Up by walking shadow poetry"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Rape isn\u2019t just a word,<br>It\u2019s a wound that runs deep.<br>It leaves scars we can\u2019t see,<br>In minds that can\u2019t sleep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s more than just pain,<br>It\u2019s a crime, it\u2019s a stain.<br>A violation of trust,<br>A loss too hard to explain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We need to stop staying silent,<br>We need to raise our voice.<br>Because rape doesn\u2019t just happen\u2014<br>It\u2019s a choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A choice to ignore the cries,<br>To pretend it\u2019s not real.<br>But the victims are suffering,<br>With pain they can\u2019t heal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s not about what they wore,<br>It\u2019s not about how they acted.<br>It\u2019s about respect and consent,<br>And how someone\u2019s humanity is attacked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We must teach our boys and girls,<br>That &#8220;No&#8221; means &#8220;No.&#8221;<br>That respect is the only way,<br>That love never hurts or brings woe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We need to believe survivors,<br>Not shame them, not blame.<br>They didn\u2019t ask for this,<br>They carry no shame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s fight for a world,<br>Where rape is no more.<br>Where safety is certain,<br>Behind every door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It starts with awareness,<br>It starts with us.<br>To stand up, to speak out,<br>And say enough is enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because silence helps no one,<br>But action can heal.<br>Let\u2019s fight for justice,<br>And make the world feel real.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So to the world, I say,<br>It\u2019s time to take a stand.<br>End rape, end the violence,<br>And give love the upper hand.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rape isn\u2019t just a word,It\u2019s a wound that runs deep.It leaves scars we can\u2019t see,In minds that can\u2019t sleep.
