{"id":2818,"date":"2024-12-04T16:18:58","date_gmt":"2024-12-04T16:18:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/walkingshadowpoetry.com\/blog\/?p=2818"},"modified":"2024-12-04T16:19:00","modified_gmt":"2024-12-04T16:19:00","slug":"stop-corruption-by-walking-shadow-poetry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/walkingshadowpoetry.com\/blog\/stop-corruption-by-walking-shadow-poetry\/","title":{"rendered":"Stop Corruption by walking shadow poetry"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I sit here, my heart so broken,<br>By the pain of words unspoken.<br>My father died, not by chance,<br>But because a bribe let danger advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the hospital, they turned us away,<br>\u201cNo beds here,\u201d was all they\u2019d say.<br>Yet I saw money pass through hands,<br>And watched them ignore my father\u2019s plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My sister dreamed of going to school,<br>To learn, to grow, to break the rule<br>Of poverty but her desk was gone,<br>The money was stolen, like the dawn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And me, I\u2019ve worked so hard to try,<br>But every door is shut, and I wonder why.<br>The job I earned was given away,<br>To someone who could afford to pay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How can you live, those who steal,<br>Ignoring the pain others feel?<br>Don\u2019t you hear the cries at night,<br>Of people robbed of their dreams and light?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is not just about me,<br>It\u2019s about the world we want to see.<br>The mother who sold her only dress,<br>Just to end her family\u2019s stress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The child who walks on broken roads,<br>To a school that has no books or boards.<br>The father who works the dry, cracked land,<br>While others feast from stolen hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This pain burns deep, but I must speak,<br>For those too tired, too hurt, too weak.<br>Corruption kills; it\u2019s plain to see,<br>It takes away from you and me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So let\u2019s rise up, take a stand,<br>Rebuild this broken, bleeding land.<br>For every tear, let\u2019s raise a voice,<br>End corruption it\u2019s our choice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I sit here, my heart so broken,By the pain of words unspoken.My father died, not by chance,But because a bribe let danger advance.
