That noise?<br>It was a shield.<br>A distraction.<br>A way to drown out the parts of her story she didn\u2019t want to hear again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because when it got quiet\u2026<br>That\u2019s when the memories crept in.<br>The mistakes she wished she could undo,<br>The words she never said,<br>The love she lost,<br>And the pain she pretended didn\u2019t hurt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, she filled the silence.<br>With laughter that didn\u2019t always reach her eyes,<br>With conversations that danced on the surface,<br>Never too deep, because deep meant feeling.<br>And feeling?
