{"id":3369,"date":"2025-07-29T14:11:33","date_gmt":"2025-07-29T14:11:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/walkingshadowpoetry.com\/blog\/?p=3369"},"modified":"2025-07-29T14:11:38","modified_gmt":"2025-07-29T14:11:38","slug":"the-painful-genuine-cry-of-a-teacher-who-is-hurt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/walkingshadowpoetry.com\/blog\/the-painful-genuine-cry-of-a-teacher-who-is-hurt\/","title":{"rendered":"THE PAINFUL Genuine CRY OF A TEACHER who is hurt."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Dear parent, before you judge too fast,<br>Please walk a mile in the shoes we&#8217;ve worn in class.<br>You see the marks, the lessons, the smile,<br>However<strong>,<\/strong> you miss the tears we\u2019ve held in all the while.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We come with passion, hearts open wide,<br>To shape young minds, to stand by their side.<br>Even so, before we truly begin,<br>We\u2019re already fighting battles we may never win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You send us children broken from home,<br>With bruised spirits, left to roam.<br>While some know no love, just shouting and fear,<br>We try to be calm, yet the cracks appear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fathers wear dreadlocks, mothers half-dressed,<br>But still,<strong> <\/strong>we preach modesty, trying our best.<br>We say, \u201cBe kind,\u201d they laugh and curse,<br>Meanwhile<strong>,<\/strong> we model virtue, they echo the worst.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We greet you kindly, you stare and pass,<br>As though we\u2019re invisible, just staff in class.<br>Yet, we raise your child from eight to four,<br>Teaching respect you no longer reinforce anymore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes, we break, we lose our spark,<br>Our hearts grow heavy, our nights turn dark.<br>Not because we don\u2019t care or lack the grace,<br>But rather because we&#8217;re worn in this endless race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The boss wants grades, numbers on sheets,<br>From pupils who barely know their seats.<br>In truth, we\u2019re judged on scores, not love we give,<br>Expected to thrive, while barely able to live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although some kids got in not by merit, but name,<br>We are blamed when they fail and still bear the shame.<br>We promise rewards yet, none come our way,<br>Even so, we show up, day after day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We smile while hungry, broke, in debt,<br>Carrying burdens we try to forget.<br>At times, we teach with flesh in school, soul at home,<br>Worrying if our own kids eat alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Worse still, we face the pain,<br>Of being blamed again and again.<br>Because of faults we didn\u2019t cause at all,<br>From leaders and parents who let things fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, dear parent, before you raise your voice,<br>Consider this we didn\u2019t choose this noise.<br>We chose this job to build, to guide,<br>Not to drown in the tide we try to ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re not perfect but we give our best,<br>With worn-out hearts that rarely rest.<br>Therefore, next time you think we\u2019ve lost our way,<br>Pause. Pray.
