Today, I turn a year older,
And I feel a mix of warm and colder.
I’m proud of all I’ve done so far,
But the future feels like a distant star.
I’ve faced hard days and sleepless nights,
But I’ve kept going, fought the fights.
I’ve climbed hills, crossed some streams,
Held onto hope, chased my dreams.
Yet now, as I look ahead,
I wonder what lies in the bed.
Will the road be smooth or rough?
Will I find strength when things get tough?
I’ve made mistakes, I’ve learned to grow,
But there’s still so much I don’t know.
I’ve built walls and torn them down,
Worn both smiles and a frown.
The future whispers, it’s unknown,
It feels like walking all alone.
But I remind myself today,
I’ve made it through, I’ll find my way.
For every step I’ve taken here,
Every time I’ve faced a fear,
Has brought me to this very day,
To stand, to breathe, to find my way.
So as I blow out the candles bright,
I wish for strength to face the night.
May the coming year be kind and true,
May I find joy in all I do.
Happy birthday to me, here’s to more,
To all the adventures that life has in store.
I’ve come this far, I’ll keep going strong,
Walking forward, where I belong.
Happy birthday to the me I see,
You’ve done well, you’re growing free.
May this year be full of light,
And may the future turn out right.
