Sometimes you stretch toward the sun,
quietly becoming more than you were yesterday.
Other days, you are the soil,
holding space for someone else
as they find their way up.
There are moments you need rain,
a hand,
a voice that says, “keep going.”
And then there are days
no one comes,
no rescue, no answers,
just you and the weight of it all,
learning how to stand anyway.
Growth is not always gentle.
Some seasons ask you to let go,
old leaves falling without warning,
familiar faces fading into the distance,
even when the love was real.
Not every goodbye is bitter.
Some are necessary.
Some are written into your path
long before you understand why.
A tree does not question the wind
when it shakes off what it cannot keep.
It simply holds on to its roots
and trusts the ground beneath it.
Life moves like that too.
There are times you will give,
shade to the tired,
fruit to the hungry,
rest to the weary who find you.
And there will be days
You feel empty,
like you have nothing left to offer,
Yet something in you
keeps standing.
The deeper your roots grow,
in kindness,
In truth,
in who you choose to be,
the stronger you remain
when everything else shifts.
We pass through stages
like seasons passing through a field.
At the beginning,
You depend on hands that carry you.
Later, you question everything,
who you are,
where you belong,
What does your life mean?
Then comes a time
You start to understand your direction,
even if it’s not clear yet.
Responsibility finds you.
People begin to lean on you.
You become shelter
without even noticing it.
And one day,
life comes full circle,
you are the one being cared for,
resting after all the years of becoming.
Not every place will help you grow.
Some spaces dry you out.
Some people limit your light.
Staying there too long
will only make you forget
who you were meant to be.
Choose growth,
even when it feels uncomfortable.
Choose becoming,
even when it takes time.
No life is without purpose.
No person is here by mistake.
Like seeds scattered across the earth,
We are all meant to rise,
in different ways,
at different times,
for different reasons.
And maybe that’s the beauty of it,
We are all growing,
even when it doesn’t look like it.
