I walked on roads I shouldn’t have,
Left behind hearts torn apart.
I carried shame like a heavy stone,
A burden that crushed my heart.
The bridges I burned stood in ruins,
Ashes of trust I betrayed.
Each step forward felt like a storm,
And my hope began to fade.
But then, I met a kind, wise man,
Who spoke of grace and love.
He told me of a Savior’s hands,
Reaching down from above.
“Let go of the weight,” he said to me,
“Turn your heart to the Light.
You’re never too far, never too lost,
For God to make things right.”
I started small, just one by one,
Facing the people I hurt.
With trembling voice, I asked for grace,
For healing through the dirt.
Some turned away, their trust still gone,
But others saw my tears.
Through honest words and brokenness,
I began to face my fears.
And there, on the bridge I thought destroyed,
God met me in the pain.
He showed me mercy I didn’t deserve,
And helped me rise again.
Now, I walk with a lighter soul,
A life no longer the same.
I build new bridges, not with fire,
But with love in Jesus’ name.
If you’re lost, don’t run away,
No wound is too deep to mend.
With God, the ashes of broken pasts
Can become bridges in the end.
