Burning Inside

In the fancy rooms where you shine bright,
I’m just a soul in the soft moonlight.
Your grace, like a star in the sky so vast,
But reaching you feels like an impossible task.

Your smile, it glimmers, so far away,
In this world of yours, I struggle to say
How much you mean, how I admire from afar,
But in your circle, I feel like a distant star.

I write these words with hope in my chest,
Praying somehow they’ll help me express
The feelings inside, so deep and true,
Hoping you’ll see them and feel them too.

But in this grand world where you stand tall,
I feel so small, like I might fall.
My love might seem too simple, too plain,
In the swirl of your world, it’s hard to explain.

In my dreams, I find courage to speak,
But in reality, I’m timid and weak.
I wish I could tell you how much I care,
But in your high-class world, it’s hard to dare.

So I’ll keep this poem close to my heart,
A whisper of love, a gentle start.
Hoping one day, somehow, you’ll see,
That my love for you is real, and it’s meant to be.
