Choose to Heal by walking shadow poetry

Stop looking back at the pain you’ve known,
The hurt that cut you to the bone.
What’s done is done, it’s in the past,
But what you do next is what will last.

Being hurt was never your choice,
But healing is where you find your voice.
It’s hard, I know, to let things go,
But deep inside, you already know.

You can’t control what happened before,
But you can choose to suffer no more.
Each scar you carry tells a tale,
But they don’t mean you’ll always fail.

The past won’t change, no matter how we try,
But you can change how you reply.
Instead of sinking in what’s gone wrong,
Stand up tall, and find your song.

Choose to heal, even if it’s slow,
Little by little, let the wounds go.
The pain might still be there, it’s true,
But strength is growing inside of you.

Healing is yours, it’s in your hands,
To rise above, to take a stand.
Though hurt was never what you’d choose,
In healing, there’s nothing to lose.

So, look ahead, not back in despair,
You’re stronger than the weight you bear.
The choice is yours, this much is real
You didn’t choose to hurt, but you can choose to heal.
