I know you’re hurting,
waiting on a love that’s gone quiet,
chasing echoes that no longer answer,
and it feels like you’re drowning
in the silence they’ve left behind.
You’ve tried, haven’t you?
You’ve called,
sent texts that never got a reply,
apologized for things
you’re not even sure you did.
You’ve asked, “Is there something wrong?”
But all you got back
was a cold, “No, there’s nothing.”
And yet, everything feels wrong.
I know you’re confused,
wondering if you should hold on,
if they’ll come back
to the way things were,
or if this is how it ends
slowly, with no goodbye,
just fading out of your life.
But listen,
you deserve more than this uncertainty,
more than being left in the dark,
waiting for answers that may never come.
You’ve done your part,
reached out, showed love,
and still, nothing’s changed.
It’s not your fault,
sometimes people change,
and sometimes they don’t know how to tell you
that they’ve moved on.
But you can’t keep waiting
in this in-between,
clinging to hope
that they might turn around,
because what if they don’t?
Ask yourself
are you holding on out of love
or out of fear?
Fear of being alone,
fear of the unknown,
fear that moving on
means giving up.
But giving up on someone
who’s already given up on you
isn’t weakness
it’s choosing yourself.
You deserve someone who shows up,
who calls back,
who answers your texts
with more than silence.
You deserve someone
who makes time,
who doesn’t leave you wondering
what you mean to them.
It’s okay to let go,
even if you don’t have all the answers,
even if it feels like
you’re leaving a piece of yourself behind.
Letting go doesn’t mean
you didn’t love them,
it just means
you’re loving yourself enough
to walk away
from what’s hurting you.
Healing takes time,
and there will be days
where the ache is too much,
where the memories come back
and make you question everything.
But little by little,
you’ll find yourself again
the parts of you that got lost
in waiting for someone
who stopped waiting for you.
It’s not easy, I know.
But one day,
you’ll look back and realize
letting go was the strongest thing you did,
because in the end,
you chose you.
