You held me before I knew my name,
Wiped my tears before I learned to cry.
You stood behind me when I was weak,
And smiled for me when I couldn’t try.
You didn’t wear a crown or robe,
But you ruled with love so true.
You worked with tired, gentle hands,
And still made time for “I love you.”
You taught me how to stand up tall,
And how to walk through pain.
You showed me how to rise again,
Like flowers after rain.
You stayed awake when I was sick,
Whispered peace through every storm.
Even when the world was cold,
You kept my spirit warm.
You listened when I made no sense,
You cheered when I was slow.
You believed in every step I took,
Even the ones that didn’t show.
You prayed for me when I couldn’t pray,
Held dreams I threw away.
And somehow, through your quiet love,
You led me back each day.
You never asked for anything,
Just hugs and honesty.
But everything I am today
Is rooted in your legacy.
So here’s to you, today and always,
The soul that helped me grow,
Happy Mother’s Day, my anchor,
More than you’ll ever know.
You spoke in kindness more than words,
And taught me how to care.
You planted love so deep in me,
It follows me everywhere.
Your apron was your armor,
Your laughter was a light.
You fought for joy in simple ways,
And always chose what’s right.
I see you now in all I do,
In how I love and give.
Your lessons echo through my life,
In every day I live.
Our mothers are a treasure and deserve to enjoy the fruits of our labor. We should treat them with value and respect, no matter what they look like, and always recognize their presence in our lives. Mothers are a blessing.
