Being patient is noble,
But not when it costs you your peace.
Don’t keep excusing behavior
That chips away at your heart
Bit by bit.
You deserve more than apologies
That come without change,
More than empty promises
And words that don’t match actions.
Your kindness is a strength,
But don’t let it be your downfall.
Know when to stand up,
When to say, “Enough.”
Because respect isn’t optional,
And you shouldn’t have to beg for it.
Forgive, yes
But never forget your worth.
Don’t let your understanding heart
Be the reason you stay
Where you’re being disrespected.
