Leave Me Alone by walking shadow poetry.

Please, if you don’t have good intentions for me,
Just let me go, just let me be.
Don’t string me along, don’t play with my heart,
I’m already fragile, already falling apart.

I’m tired, so tired, of trying to stay strong,
Of pretending I’m fine when everything’s wrong.
I don’t have the strength to endure more pain,
I don’t want to break down again.

If you’re not here to love me right,
If you’re just passing through my life,
Then walk away now, don’t drag me along,
I’m not built for games, I’m not that strong.

I’ve carried so much for far too long,
Worn smiles that felt all wrong.
I’m exhausted, my heart’s on the line,
If you don’t care, please don’t waste my time.

I can’t handle being broken again,
I can’t keep losing what I thought I’d gain.
I’m barely holding on as it is,
If you’re not here for love, leave me in peace.

I don’t need promises that you’ll never keep,
I don’t want to cry myself to sleep.
I just want someone who truly cares,
Not someone who disappears into thin air.

If your heart isn’t in it, just walk away,
Don’t lead me into more dismay.
I’m not strong enough for empty words,
For love, that’s never meant to be heard.

Let me heal, let me find peace,
If you don’t intend to stay, then release.
Because I’m tired, I’ve given all I can,
And I don’t want to break down again.

If you don’t mean what you say,
Please, just leave me today.
I need to protect what little is left of me,
To finally feel what it’s like to be free.
