I know you’ve been waiting,
Hoping, wishing they’d see,
That all you ever needed
Was their time, their love, just to be.

But every call feels forced,
Every moment, a fight,
You’re begging for attention,
And it doesn’t feel right.

I see how hard you’re trying,
To hold onto this thread,
But love isn’t meant to be one-sided,
It’s not just in your head.

There’s a world out here waiting,
With people who’ll make you feel,
Like you’re worth every second,
Like your happiness is real.

You don’t need to chase love,
Or beg for their care,
There’s someone out there,
Who’s willing to always be there.

So stop being desperate,
For someone who won’t try,
Love yourself enough,
To say your goodbye.

It’s hard, I know it’s true,
But your heart deserves more,
Someone who’ll go the distance,
To make you feel adored.

Let go, even if it hurts,
And take it one day at a time,
Because loving yourself first,
