The Distance Spoken Word.

We’ve never met in person,
But our words bridge the gap,
A connection forged in messages,
Where time seems to lapse.

We talk about our days,
The little things, the big,
I’ve learned the way you think,
And the songs that make you sing.

Your voice is just text on a screen,
But it’s music to my soul,
Every word you send my way
Makes my broken heart feel whole.

I’ve never touched your hand,
Or seen your smile in real life,
But through our endless conversations,
I’ve imagined you by my side.

Sometimes I wonder,
Do you feel the same as me?
Is there a spark in your heart
That longs for what could be?

I’m falling for someone
I’ve never held close,
But your words wrap around me,
In a way no one knows.

You make me laugh with stories,
You comfort me with care,
And even in the silence,
I feel you’re always there.

I want to tell you everything,
The feelings I’ve kept inside,
But I’m scared to break the magic,
And let the truth collide.

Because what if you don’t feel it?
What if it’s just me?
Loving you across the miles,
Through a screen I can’t see through clearly.

But for now, I’ll cherish our words,
Every message, every chat,
Because in this digital space,
My heart has found where it’s at.

And maybe one day,
When the time is right,
We’ll close the distance
And turn the words into light.

But until then, I’ll be here,
Speaking to you through the glow,
Hoping that one day,
You’ll feel the love I’ve yet to show.
