The Warriors Who Rise by walking shadow poetry.

spoken word poem.

You wear scars like medals, badges of pride,
Proof of battles fought, where hope never died.
A journey through shadows, dark and long,
But here you stand, resilient and strong.

The word “cancer” once chilled your soul,
A storm that threatened to swallow you whole.
Chemo and needles, the endless pain,
Days you thought you’d never smile again.

Your hair may have fallen, your strength worn thin,
But inside you burned a fire within.
The mirror reflected a warrior’s face,
Fighting with courage, embracing grace.

There were tears, yes, and nights of despair,
But love held you up, a force beyond compare.
Family, friends, and strangers too,
All rooting for the miracle of you.

Every step forward felt like a mile,
Yet you walked on with a determined smile.
You defied the odds, rewrote the fate,
Proved that hope never comes too late.

Now, you stand in the light of day,
The storm behind, though the scars may stay.
But they tell a story, one of might,
Of how you conquered the darkest night.

Cancer survivor what a title to bear,
Evidence of courage, beyond compare.
You are a hero, a beacon, a star,
Shining brightly, no matter how far.

To those still fighting, you offer your hand,
A symbol of hope, a rock to stand.
For in your journey, the world can see,
The power of hope, the strength to be free.
