Since I was just a child,
With dreams as big as the sky,
I trained each day in silence,
As the years slipped slowly by.
Early mornings greeted me,
With the cold bite of dawn,
While others still lay sleeping,
I pushed myself and carried on.
Every muscle, every breath,
A testament to my drive,
I honed my skills with purpose,
To make my dreams come alive.
The sweat that fell, the blisters,
The nights of endless strain,
Were stepping stones I conquered,
To master through the pain.
Each setback taught me patience,
Each failure made me strong,
I knew my moment waited,
And I’d reach it before long.
Years turned into decades,
Dedication, pure and true,
I sacrificed so much for this,
My focus never withdrew.
And now the day has broken,
My heart beats fierce and fast,
The moment I’ve been waiting for,
Has finally come at last.
With every fiber of my being,
I rise to meet this test,
The world holds its breath with me,
As I give it all my best.
My body moves in rhythm,
With precision and with grace,
A lifetime of devotion,
Etched clearly on my face.
No doubts, no fears, no shadows,
Just the light of what I’ve sown,
In this one, singular moment,
My true self is finally shown.
And as I cross the finish,
Or hear the final cheer,
I know the journey’s meaning,
Is crystal, perfect, clear.
For in the heart of effort,
In the striving, in the climb,
I’ve found my deepest purpose,
And it’s worth every single time.
