The ones who clapped for me when I was winning,
Are the same ones who laughed when I took a spill, sinning.
Their cheers turned to jeers, their smiles to disdain,
In moments of triumph, they hid their true pain.
Beside me they stood, or so I thought,
But when I stumbled, their mockery sought.
The ones who seemed loyal, the ones I held dear,
Revealed their true colors when failure drew near.
But in this harsh lesson, a truth does arise,
That not all who seem genuine wear a disguise.
For the enemy hides not just beyond the gate,
But within those we trust, who determine our fate.
When the spotlight shone bright, they danced in delight,
But when shadows fell, they vanished from sight.
Fair-weather friends, with fickle hearts so cold,
Their loyalty fleeting, like stories untold.
Yet through the betrayal, a lesson is learned,
In the fires of adversity, wisdom is earned.
For in the depths of despair, clarity shines bright,
Revealing the truth hidden in plain sight.
So let not the false smiles dim your inner glow,
For in your resilience, true strength will grow.
Though the journey be tough, with twists and bends,
Remember, the enemy lies not just among friends.
Keep faith in yourself, in your own guiding light,
For within you lies the power to make things right.
And when faced with deceit, with a heart worn thin,
Know that true victory lies in rising again.
