Onions, they cause tears.
They steal your joy,
Like a thief in the night,
They snatch your happiness without warning,
You didn’t even see it coming.
One slice, one moment,
And suddenly, your heart feels heavy,
Your eyes flood with the weight of all that hurts,
And you wonder,
Why does something so small
Have the power to take so much?
Lemons, they cause bitterness.
You know that sour taste, don’t you?
The kind that lingers long after the first bite,
The kind that makes everything feel bland.
Life feels tasteless,
Like nothing is sweet enough to satisfy.
What used to excite you,
Now feels distant,
And every turn you take leaves you wondering,
Why does the world seem so dry, so empty?
When everything you touch just turns cold,
When nothing seems worth the effort,
And every dream you chase tastes like a loss.
Demons, they steal your treasure.
Not the kind of treasure you can hold in your hand,
But the kind that lies deep inside,
Your hope, your purpose, your fire.
They kill your dreams,
Slowly, steadily, until they’re nothing but ashes,
Until you wake up and can’t remember
What it felt like to dream big.
They destroy your passions,
Like a storm that wipes out everything in its path,
Leaving behind only rubble,
Leaving you standing in the remains of what could have been.
And in the end,
Demons make you feel worthless,
Like you’re too broken to fix,
Like the pieces can never come back together.
Like you’re nothing more than a shadow
Of who you once thought you were.
But here’s the thing,
Onions, lemons, demons,
They don’t define you.
They can bring tears, bitterness, and despair,
But they can’t take your worth.
They can cause pain,
But they can’t kill your purpose.
They can make life seem tasteless,
But you can add your own flavor,
Even when the world tries to strip it away.
So, don’t let them steal your fire,
Don’t let them destroy what makes you, you.
Because you are more than what hurts,
More than what tries to bring you down.
You are a story in the making,
A journey of rising from the ashes,
Of finding sweetness,
Even in the sourness.
And remember this,
Tears don’t last forever,
Bitterness fades with time,
And demons,
Well, demons can only have power
If you give them the chance.
But you don’t have to.
You are the treasure.
You are the dream.
You are the passion,
And no matter how tough the road gets,
You’ll rise,
You’ll fight,
And you’ll find your way back to sweetness,
No matter how sour life tries to get.
