Winning the Battle Within Spoken Word by walking shadow.

Before you fight the world,
before you chase the crown,
before you point fingers,
telling the world, it’s holding you down…
Fight yourself first.

Fight the fear that keeps you stuck,
the voice that whispers, “You’re not enough.”
The one that tells you, “Stay in your lane,”
when deep down, you were built to reign.

See, fear
it’s a cage with an open door,
but you sit inside, too scared to explore.
You scroll through lives, wishing for more,
while your dreams gather dust on the floor.

And then, there’s laziness…
It sneaks in soft, dressed like comfort,
like “one more episode, just five more minutes,”
like “I’ll do it tomorrow”
until tomorrow becomes next year,
and your goals are still right here.

But wait
ignorance is just as strong.
The enemy of growth, the killer of dreams,
thinking you know when you don’t,
assuming instead of learning,
talking instead of listening.
Because here’s the thing:
You can’t win a war you don’t understand,
and you can’t lead if you refuse to learn.

So, before you size up the competition,
before you blame the system,
before you compare your Chapter One
to their Chapter Twenty,
fight the real enemy; yourself.

Because the truth is,
your biggest battle is not out there,
it is in the mirror, deep inside you.
And once you win there once you conquer the mind?
There is nothing out here you can’t conquer.

Yes, you need to rise up,
not just with dreams but with discipline,
not just with plans but with action.
Because winning starts within,
and the moment you master yourself,
the world won’t stand a chance.

And when the voices creep back in,
when fear tries to whisper,
when laziness tells you to rest,
when ignorance tells you you’ve done enough,
Fight again.
Because growth isn’t a one-time win,
it’s a daily battle.
And the ones who keep fighting?
They’re the ones who rise.
