I had given up, I won’t even lie,
Love had left me with tears to dry.
My heart was cracked, my trust was gone,
I swore I’d never love anyone.
But then you came, so soft, so kind,
Patient enough to ease my mind.
You didn’t rush, you took your time,
Showed me love was still divine.
Despite my flaws, despite my scars,
You saw my soul, not just the bars.
You taught me how to stand up tall,
To love myself despite it all.
I used to hide behind my fears,
Drowning deep in silent tears.
But you pulled me from the deep,
Gave me love that I could keep.
If life gave me a choice again,
To pick a lover, a soulmate, a friend,
Without a doubt, I’d still choose you,
For every day, you prove love’s true.
And if love needed votes to win,
I’d steal them all and hand them in.
Not out of greed, not out of pride,
But just to keep you by my side.
You lift me up when I feel small,
Remind me I’m enough through all.
You see my worth when I forget,
A love so pure, I won’t regret.
You didn’t just hold my hand,
You helped me heal, helped me stand.
Through every trial, through every test,
With you, I know I have the best.
So here’s my heart, I give it whole,
To the one who mended my soul.
And by the way, in case you knew,
Thank you, love, for loving me too.
