I wish I could call you today,
Tell you how much I miss your voice.
Mother’s Day feels quiet now,
But loving you was never a choice.
It came so natural just like breathing.
You were the first heart I ever knew.
And though you’ve gone beyond my sight,
Everything still leads back to you.
I see you in the morning sun,
In the soft wind passing by.
I hear you in the songs you loved,
And in every whispered sky.
You taught me how to love with grace,
How to stand and how to pray.
And even now, I feel your strength
Helping me through each day.
Some days the missing hurts so much,
Like a room with all the lights off.
But then I remember your gentle laugh,
And somehow, that’s enough.
You may not be beside me now,
But your love never left this place.
It lives in how I speak and give,
And in the tears I still face.
So on this day, I hold you close,
Not with hands, but with my heart.
Because even though we’re far apart,
We were never meant to part.
Happy Mother’s Day in heaven,
My first home, my gentle guide.
You are still with me, Mama,
Forever by my side.
And when my time on earth is done,
And skies above me softly bend,
I know your arms will hold me close,
And we will never part again.
But until then, I’ll live your love,
In every word and deed I do.
Because the best of who I am,
Will always carry you.
So when the tears begin to fall,
And missing her feels way too much,
Remember love like hers runs deep,
It still lives on in every touch.
You’re not alone in all this pain,
Take your time, let healing start.
Her love is not just in the past,
It’s written on your heart.
